The Sunrise Music Festival is hosted in Dong Village, Anjaw, the easternmost point of India. More than a concert, it's a pilgrimage to witness the very first rays of the new year, blending raw nature, adventure, and the soul of the Mishmi and Meyor tribes.

The festival is a celebration of the unique cultural heritage of the Mishmi (Tawrah/Kaman) and Meyor (Zakhring) tribes. Experience traditional Tanggong dances, ancient textile weaving demonstrations, and live storytelling of local myths and legends, preserving their deep connection to the land.

ACCOMMODATION

Lodging is managed to ensure an authentic and comfortable Himalayan experience. **Camping is the primary on-site option** and requires a Camping Add-On pass.

  • Designated Festival Campsite (Pre-booked only)
  • Homestay Network: Limited beds available in nearby Dong/Kaho villages for an immersive cultural stay. Book early!
  • Facilities: Shared, clean sanitary facilities and communal bonfire areas.

TRANSPORTATION

Dong Valley is situated at the eastern most part of india under Anjaw District of Arunachal pradesh. The nearest rail/air hub is Tezu &Tinsukia, Assam. From there, you must arrange road travel.

  • Dedicated Festival Bus: Shuttle service runs daily from Hayuliang to Dong Village (must be pre-booked).
  • Inner Line Permit (ILP):MANDATORY for entry into Arunachal Pradesh. Obtain this online well in advance.
  • Parking: Limited parking available for private vehicles at designated lot near the venue.

LOCAL STORE & ESSENTIALS

Please pack sufficiently. Basic supplies and emergency services are available, but retail is limited.

  • Village Mini-Mart: Sells packaged food, water, batteries, and basic toiletries (cash only).
  • First Aid & Medical Post: Located near the main stage, operational 24/7.
  • Connectivity: Mobile network signal is sporadic (mainly Airtel & BSNL). No ATM facilities in Dong Village.
